Launch week. How exciting…how terrifying. Perhaps the ‘perfect time’ to launch a new business doesn’t actually exist. Keep thinking of Rahul and the Bake-off final. All appeared to be lost as his jar smashed during the final bake and he lost time – and his head for a while bless him. Ruby and Kim-joy meanwhile carried on calmly, time on their sides, very composed. Pretty sure most viewers concluded, like me: ‘there’s NO WAY Rahul can turn this around’. And yet… when the masterpieces were complete and Paul and Pru stuffed, the seemingly impossible happened. Rahul won ! Good for him – well deserved. And proof that, success is possible despite an inner voice suggesting otherwise.

And so I keep thinking… ok my ‘to do’ list may be out of control. There’s almost certainly some important new business stuff I should be doing right now – that I’m not doing.

And yet, I’ve got my concept, my site’s built, I love taking care of people, especially women that I can relate to, be it exhausted Mums or burnt-out professionals – I’ve so been there. Creating a homely, happy environment for people to escape to is no hardship. I’ve even stepped tentatively into the daunting world of social media. Ok I may not post much; I may be pretty clueless about how to increase my likes and followers. But I’m on there. And I’m launching. We’ll see what happens…
